Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of cooperative learning model time token tipe toword student learning achievement class IX SMPN 6 Pekanbaru on the biotechnology concept. This research conducted in odd semester in February 2014. The method of this research used was quasi experiment with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample of this research were student of IX3 and IX4 by the number of students in each 25, were taken by simple random sampling technique. The data was analyzed in the from of t-test if data is normal and homogeneous, and U Mann-Whitney if the data distribution is not normal or not homogeneous. The data where collected by pretest, posttest, and teacher and student activity. The mean of N-Gain at experiment class was 0,61 while at control class was 0,44 categorized at medium level. Thereby can be concluded that the effect of cooperative learning time token tipe toword student learnig achievement the class IX SMPN 6 Pekanbaru on the biotechnology concept academic year 2013/2014.
