Abstract

In the 1st quarter of 2016 several private banks and state-owned banks reported falling profits. Banks that experienced a significant decline in profit were Bank Mandiri at 25.7%, followed by other banks such as gem banks, national pension savings banks and artha graha banks. In the first quarter of 2016, several banks, such as independent banks, experienced a decline in profit, followed by BTPN, Bank Artha Graha and others. The decline in bank profits was caused by the inefficient operation of these banks. In the last few semesters, researchers have conducted research on the factors that affect the profitability of banks where researchers have conducted research in private banks, BPRs, and BUMNs where the results of this study show that the decrease in the level of profitability is caused by the inefficient banks where the efficiency value is measured by the financial efficiency ratio, namely BOPO. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of capital on bank efficiency, to test the effect of liquidity on bank efficiency, to test the effect of Net interest margin on bank efficiency, to examine the effect of risk on bank efficiency and to examine the effect of company size on bank efficiency, the effect of interest rates. market to bank efficiency. Based on the results of the t test, there is only one factor partially affecting the efficiency of regional banks, namely the ROA factor, while company size, CAR, NPL, LDR, NIM, and market interest rates have no effect on the efficiency of regional banks. Capital, liquidity, NPL, NIM, interest rates and company size do not partially affect the efficiency of regional development banks. Based on the simultaneous test results, 6 factors (company size, LDR, NPL, CAR, NIM, interest rates) affect the efficiency of regional banks.
